This company started operating in January of 1993, offering trips to groups of bird-watchers and nature lovers. Since then, the company has dedicated itself to offering high quality and safe tours. Adventures of Sarapiquí has grown, and now offers tours in Class I-V in the Sarapiquí and Puerto Viejo rivers, we use fixed rowing boats or boats with rowers and guides; tours in inflatable kayaks and practices with rigid kayaks.
All of our guides have extensive training in guiding whitewater rafts. They are also all required to complete mumerous courses in swiftwater rescue, CPR and first aid. Among other things; they also have all the INA courses under their belts and they are certified by the ICT to work as white water tour guides.
Due to the quantity of annual rainfall in Costa Rica, our guides train in the river all 365 days a year. Our Guides have also participated in multiple national and international competitions, such as the Latin-American rafting championship, The Camel Whitewater Challenge, the National and World Championship of Rodeo Kayaking (freestyle) and many others.
Adventures of Sarapiquí is proud of the reputation that it has as an industry leader working clients of all ages and abilities and groups from all over the world.
