Horseback Riding

Only 10 minutes from our office on a private ranch you can enjoy a wonderful tour on horseback. Upon arrival you will be met by the head rancher who will accompany you throughout this journey. Once the horses are assigned to each group member you will be given an introductory talk on how to ride horses, in case you don’t have previous experience. Prior experience is not required whatsoever and it will not be a problem if you don't have any for this ride.
During the journey will cross creeks, grasslands, pastures with cattle, hills and patches of forest where you can relax, drink water and hopefully observe monkeys, many species of birds including the herons, tanagers and musketeers.
After and hour and a half you will return to the same place you started, where transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel or our office.
For safety reasons the minimum age for this trip is 5 years old, and there is no maximum age but it is recommended you have good physical condition. If you have a medical conditions (asthma, epilepsy, heart disease), please make mention of them at the time of reservation and again when you arrive at for the trip.
For this activity we recommend long pants, long sleeved shirts or a jacket, hat, and closed shoes that are comfortable. Furthermore, do not forget to bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent and your camera.

Canoeing
Run the lower class I section of the Puerto Viejo river in an open canoe. This is an excellent opportunity to see wildlife and enjoy a relaxing day on a beautiful river.
